Being in the dominant discourse of the first Pahlavi period, such as nationalism, modernism, and archaism, trying to revive the tradition of Iranian painting inspired by the Isfahan school and influenced by the poetry and thought of Khayyam, Molana, Hafez, Saadi, Nizami, Attar, Ferdowsi and other poets. Bozur Irani is inspired by ancient themes and symbols, as well as factors such as anatomy, perspective, volume processing, and shadow and light are among the components of Pahlavi period painting. The artists of this period adhered to the traditional values and painting of Iran's past during modernism in order to preserve their Iranian and Aryan roots as much as possible by linking to the past. Ali Esfarjani is one of the artists who has followed these principles and standards of archaism in his works, both in terms of technique and structure, and has benefited a lot in his painting works. This research is qualitative and in terms of descriptive-analytical nature and seeks to answer the question, what were the features and components of archaism in the works of Ali Esfarjani? For this purpose, Ali Esfarjani's painting works as a revivalist of national arts, including traditional painting, are identified, explained and analyzed according to the antiquarian approach. The results of this research show that the works of Professor Esfarjani, which were categorized, include religious stories and the lives of some prophets, re-creation of Safavid designs, inspiring stories from rich Persian literature, and the patterns and components of the common archaism of this period are considered.
